Investment Review

What is an Investment Review?

Whereas an Investment Plan involves a comprehensive evaluation of your portfolio followed by a detailed written recommendation, an Investment Review offers a more cursory evaluation of your portfolio.

Prior to the meeting, we will:

  • Evaluate your current investments to determine whether you are properly diversified.
  • Assess if your extra savings are directed toward the most appropriate account types.
  • Identify any tax-saving strategies you may not be taking advantage of.

During the meeting, we will:

  • Discuss any concerns or inefficiencies in your portfolio.
  • Highlight tools, strategies, or considerations to optimize your investments.
  • Guide you on potential next steps, if appropriate.

Please note that an Investment Review does not result in a formal deliverable. However, we may provide notes, resources, or referrals if we feel they would be helpful.

This time is yours, and there are no restrictions on which financial matters can be discussed. If you are currently working with another investment professional, we can provide questions to consider asking them about your investment choices. If your portfolio appears to lack tax efficiency, we can explain steps you can take to improve it. If you are uncertain about where to invest future savings, such as a 401(k), brokerage account, or Roth IRA, we can help you make an informed decision.

To be clear, we do not make any specific investment recommendations when we do an Investment Review.
